Bahrain Centre for Studies and Research has published the 4^th edition of The Journal of Strategic Studies.

This issue of the journal includes two important messages from Dr. Boutros Boutros Ghali, former Secretary General of the United Nations. His messages discuss "The Israeli aggression on Lebanon and Palestine", and "The role of research centers in international politics". The journal also includes important studies regarding an appraisal of the GCC's march over 25 years and its role in strengthening Gulf cooperation. In addition a study with regard to "Regional security prospects in the Gulf region: inhibitions and imperatives" is included. 

Furthermore, the Journal contains an analysis of Arab-Chinese cooperation and the development of Bahrain-Qatar relations. It contains two studies about Iraq's political  and media situation and the implications for the  future. The English section of the Journal includes two important studies, the first about erasing global terrorism and balancing soft power and the second is a study on Arab-Chinese relations and their repercussions and prospects for the future. The journal, in addition, contains book reviews and also  provides an Arabic summary of the English section and an English summary of the Arabic section. The journal aspires to be of an international standard and welcomes contributions from researchers from all over the world.
