With the fast pace of change in the field of information technology and in order to support scientific and academic research and studies, Bahrain Centre for Studies and Research has established an electronic library to provide various resources to researchers and academics and to support their research work.
The E-library is keen to develop its reference and research services, as well as to facilitate the access and retrieval of information held electronically. The E-library, which is currently under construction, contains information from traditional sources including books, periodicals, studies and papers published by the centre, as well as links to electronic databases and sources of information. The E-Library also provides on-line search services to find articles and papers available from other libraries. Training and help is offered to users on how to get the most out of the library and its resources, together with services like photocopying and scanning and inter-library loan.
The E-library regularly updates users with information on new publications and issues of academic journals, as well as new electronic links. The computerization of all library operations will be undertaken for the supply, control and indexing of periodicals, as well as lending services, and the preparation and retrieval of reports and statistics.
