Dr. Abdulla Al-Sadiq, Secretary-General of BCSR and Dr. Ibrahim Al Rumaihi, Executive Director of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development, signed an agreement for cooperation between BCSR and the institute. Under the agreement, BCSR will provide studies and research, consultation services and data to the institute upon request. The centre will also provide strategic and political reports and analyses, organize training courses for the institution, on condition that an agreement is concluded between the two parties for each task, stipulating the duration of the implementation, the stages of the implementation, and the cost to be paid by the institute to BCSR for these services.
Dr. Abdulla Al-Sadiq stated that the signing of the agreement emanates from the joint desire of the institute and BCSR to cooperate in the different fields and aspects relevant to both organizations and to formulate effective mechanisms to embody such cooperation.
The agreement, signed on Monday 7th January 2008, states that the two parties will also cooperate in the organization of conferences, seminars and workshops. Its enables the employees of both organizations to participate in one another's activities and programmes, in addition to the exchange of experience and to making use of the scientific and research resources of the two parties.
The centre and the institute agreed to form a joint committee which will meet regularly and when required, in order to put into action a programme of joint cooperation and to follow up its implementation.
