Twenty four participants attended a workshop on Real Estate Valuation in February 2008 which was run by BCSR. The workshop participants received intensive training in the principles of real estate management and in how to deal with changing real estate management, the mechanisms for investment, and real estate valuation by companies and banks. 

The workshop was aimed at those responsible for real estate companies and offices, property owners, directors of investment companies and institutions and their staff, individual brokers, actuaries and real estate mediators.

Dr. Abdulla Al-Sadiq, Secretary-General of BCSR, stated that due to recent developments in real estate activities and the labour market's need for nationals with specialized skills in this field, BCSR was keen to provide specialized workshop training for staff in the various real estate offices and institutions, so as to provide a trained cadre of nationals with professional skills in this field. Due to the large number of individuals who expressed an interest in this workshop, BCSR hopes to run another similar workshop in the near future.
