The Bahrain Centre for Studies and Research (BCSR) and Gallup International Association's Pakistani affiliate, the Pakistan Institute of Public Opinion (PIPO-GIA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to further cooperation between the two organizations on Tuesday 13 May at the BCSR premises near Awali.

The two organizations agreed to cooperate, support and encourage bilateral scientific research activities; to exchange scientific and technical information and publications; to organize seminars and visits by researchers from the two institutes; and to collaborate on projects and public opinion studies.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on behalf of the two organizations by Dr. Abdulla M. Al-Sadiq, Secretary-General of BCSR and by Dr. Ijaz Shafi Gilani, Chairman and founder of the Pakistan Institute of Public Opinion, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International Association, which specializes in opinion and marketing research.
