H.E. Dr. Mohammed J. K. Alghatam, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BCSR, received a donation from Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) of BD5000 from Engineer Abdul Rahman Jawahery, General Manager of GPIC, in support of the scientific and applied research activities of BCSR.  H.E. Dr. Alghatam thanked H.E. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Chairman of GPIC, and Engineer Abdul Rahman Jawahery, the General Manager of GPIC, for GPIC's kind donation given to support BCSR programmes and activities.  The Chairman of BCSR also stated that he hoped that other companies would follow the example of GPIC and support the research activities of BCSR.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Abdulla Al-Sadiq, the Secretary-General of BCSR, Mr. Zuhair Tawfiqi, Director of Public Relations at GPIC, Engineer Yousif Abdulla, Plants Operation Manager at GPIC, and Engineer Yusuf Fakhroo, Administration Manager at GPIC.
