'US Foreign Policy in the Middle East' will be the subject of a lecture presentation to invited guests at the Bahrain Centre for Studies and Research on Wednesday 9 May at 10.30 a.m. The lecture will be delivered by David Mednicoff, Assistant Professor in the Department of Legal Studies and Center for Public Policy and Administration at the University of Massachusetts and Co-Director Designate of the Institute for Global Islamic Studies at the University of Massachussetts. Prof. Mednicoff is currently a Visiting Fulbright Professor on the International Affairs Programme at Qatar University in Doha.
Prof. Mednicoff's research interests include: International and Comparative Law; Middle Eastern Politics; Human Rights and Refugee Law; US Foreign Policy in the Middle East; Theories of Globalization and Religion and Politics. He comments frequently in the US and international media on Middle Eastern politics and US foreign policy. He is also the author of numerous scholarly refereed papers, articles, book reviews, and opinion columns. Professor Mednicoff is the recipient of several academic grants and awards, including the Smithsonian Museum/Dickinson College National Prize for Innovative Teaching, and an award from the American Institute for Maghreb Studies in Morocco and Tunisia.
