Professor Sue Cox and Dr Abdulla Mohammed Alsadiq
On May 21st, BCSR, represented by Dr. Abdulla Al-Sadiq (Secretary-General) and Dr Galal, (Senior Advisor for the International Studies Centre), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gulf One Lancaster Centre for Economic Research (GOLCER), part of the Lancaster University Management School.
GOLCER is a centre set-up by the Gulf One Investment Bank to fund cutting-edge research into economic and financial developments in the Middle East region. The MOU will open collaborative doors to research and training opportunities for both research centres.
Professor Cox opened the ceremony saying that such ventures provide "many opportunities for both parties to collaborate on interesting and economically significant projects in the Gulf region". The ceremony was held at Lancaster University and attended by the Dean of the Management School, Professor Sue Cox, Associate Dean, Professor Steve Bradley and members of the Management School, including Executive Director of GOLCER, Dr. Marwan Izzeldin, who has been the main facilitator in building closer ties between BCSR and Lancaster.
