Spatial Information and Research

GEOMATEC is an independent technology service centre which functions as the commercial arm of BCSR.  It is a non-profit-making organization, operating on a commercial basis and specializes in developing and providing geo-spatial information databases and products to both corporations and private customers. GEOMATEC customers include:

-Government ministries and organizations which are involved with services, planning and infrastructure development.

-Private sector organizations that provide public services.

-Telecommunications companies.

-Individual consumers.

GEOMATEC also provides consultancies in Geomatics technology (GIS and Remote Sensing) and conducts research and development in relation to the utilization of such technologies. GEOMATEC utilizes state-of-the-art hardware and software technologies to develop its products and services, and provides them across multiple platforms, including the Internet and mobile devices.

GEOMATEC is headed by a Chief Executive (CEO) who reports to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BCSR.
